Terms and Conditions when renting Kayak or Canoe

Great that you want to rent with us.

Your booking is almost complete – but before you head out on the water, please read the following terms. With a booking you confirm those terms.

Safety First!

Your safety is our top priority. Please read the information carefully.
The renter hereby confirms that they have reviewed the information on safe paddling, especially the safety advice available at www.kajaxi.se .

Wearing a life jacket is mandatory for all paddling activities.
If you weigh under 40 kg or over 125 kg, you are responsible for bringing a suitable life jacket.

All paddling sker på egen risk.

Booking and Cancellation

All bookings are binding. No refunds are given for cancellations. If you need to cancel due to illness, contact your insurance company for possible reimbursement.

Cancellation the day before: 75% value voucher for a new booking

Same-day cancellation: 25% value voucher for a new booking

Use of Equipment

The equipment may be used for normal purposes within Sweden by you or any person you authorize – you are responsible for ensuring all users understand these terms.

Rental, Deposit, and Possible Additional Charges

The rental fee must be paid before booking. You are responsible for ensuring the equipment is not damaged or lost during the rental period.

The lessor may require a deposit in addition to the rental fee to cover potential damage or loss. The deposit will be refunded within 48 hours after the rental period ends, provided everything is in order.

If equipment is missing or damaged, costs may be charged to the card used for booking.

If card payment is not possible, the lessor may send an invoice, payable within 10 days.

Care of Equipment

The equipment must be handled with care and returned clean and in working condition.
Failure to comply or extreme dirtying beyond normal use (normal use = water, sand, some dirt) may result in a cleaning fee of 300 SEK.

If Something Happens

If you notice damage, defects, or theft of the equipment, notify us immediately. We will then inform you of the steps to take.

In Case of Damage, Theft, or Accident

If equipment is damaged or stolen by a third party, you are responsible for filing a police report at the location of the incident. You must contact your insurance company for possible reimbursement.
We take no responsibility in such cases.
The compensation amount for loss is based on the replacement value of the damaged or stolen equipment.

Return of Equipment

If you cannot return the equipment on time, contact us by phone or SMS or WhatsApp.

Equipment must be returned to the pickup location or another agreed-upon place and in the same condition as when collected, except for normal wear and tear.

Cleaning Upon Return

We clean the equipment after each use. Dirt beyond normal use may incur a cleaning fee of 300 SEK.
Normal dirt includes water, mud, sand, soil, leaves, insects, dust, etc.

Termination of Agreement

We reserve the right to terminate the rental agreement if:

a) payment is not received despite a reminder,
b) the equipment is used in a manner that may cause damage or excessive wear,
c) other important parts of the agreement are not followed,
d) we perceive that you are under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or other substances that may pose a risk to yourself, others, or the equipment.
